.EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy that has been shown to be highly effective in treating a range of mental health conditions, including PTSD, anxiety, and depression. As such, there is a growing demand for EMDR therapists, and many mental health professionals are seeking training in this technique.

When seeking to become an EMDR therapist, it’s important to find a training provider that best meets your needs as much as EMDR training dates that fit your schedule. At EMDR Educators, we offer a variety of dates and training formats to choose from.

Whether it’s advanced or professional training, all of our programs are approved by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), the organization that sets the standard for EMDR therapy worldwide. Although EMDRIA offers a standardized curriculum, EMDR trainers like Dr. Dobo are allowed to create, submit, and use upon approval their own unique curriculum.

Professional EMDR Training

Professional EMDR training, formally known as “Basic EMDR training” includes EMDR Part I and EMDR Part II. It usually takes place over a period of two weekends, with each weekend consisting of three days of training.  For faster training, our 5-day intensives include both parts I and II.

This training covers the fundamentals of EMDR therapy, including the eight phases of treatment, case conceptualization, and standard protocols. As a participant, you will have the opportunity to practice EMDR techniques with your peers and receive feedback from experienced trainers. You also get to experience EMDR therapy from the client’s point of view. For more details, check out our training description and policies. 

Advanced EMDR Training

Advanced EMDR training builds on the skills and knowledge learned in basic training and allows therapists to explore more complex cases and applications of EMDR therapy. This training is typically offered in smaller, more focused workshops and can cover topics such as attachment-focused EMDR, EMDR with children, and EMDR with complex trauma. Here at EMDR Educators we offer two advanced training workshops: Integrating Jungian Psychology with EMDR therapy and Integrating Jungian Dream Strategies with EMDR.
